Diana, Founder and Administrator of OLESEN SAFE HAVEN, is a 4th Generation Animal Rights Activist/Rescuer from a long line of Holistic Rescuers that started from before WWII on her Mothers Danish side. She was inspired by her Copenhagen Danmark born Mother, Lis , who she watched rescue animals growing up in Los Angeles, including a dairy cow “ Ferdie” who lived in their back yard and was bottle fed. Diana is a dual citizen of USA and Danmark born and raised in East Los Angeles California.
At age 11 she wrote to then President Ronald Reagan to help reform animal protection laws, as she was heartbroken to see so much animal abuse and neglect even in her Los Angeles Neighborhood.
Diana is 100% dedicated to making the lives of abandoned and forgotten suffering animals better and ensuring that her time on earth helps Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome as many as she can. Right now her focus is to help curb feral/homeless cat population in the San Francisco Area of Northern California, alongside her 5th generation rescuer vegetarian son and daughter, who continues from birth to be an activist of all animals in need. Her childhood sweetheart and husband Charles (below) is also part of the OLESEN SAFE HAVEN Rescue & Sanctuary Team.
