OLESEN SAFE HAVEN is a California Nonprofit 501 (c) (3), Organic, Holistic RESCUE / SANCTUARY For Homeless Cats.

Our mission at OLESEN SAFE HAVEN is to provide Refuge for Homeless, Feral Street Cats of Northern California in the San Francisco Bay Area. The majority of our rescues are old senior feral cats, that have lived terrified and abandoned in large colonies on the streets their entire lives. Some may have been dumped and were originally part of a family, no longer wanted and abused. Many cats we rescue are on deaths door from living such a cruel life of abandonment. At OLESEN SAFE HAVEN, we take Patience, LOVE and Perseverance to do everything we can to save them, the abused, abandoned and forgotten sweet souls we call cats. Many are young or old pregnant females and or females with newborn kittens. Some are senior Momma Cats who have given non stop birth, every 60 days, for over a decade, experiencing eclampsia, loss of sick, injured and or murdered babies, severe illness including URI, Calisi Virus, FIV etc. All infested with fleas, sores, large wounds etc. Heartbreaking to witness honestly 💔

We are life long Animal Rights Activists / Rescuers & Protectors, continuing Animal Rescue Humanitarian Work proudly for over 5 Generations. Our Nonprofit Private Rescue is a California Sanctuary that RESCUES, REHABILITATES AND REHOME’S Homeless, Abandoned, Feral Cats/Kittens (sometimes other animals in need, ie abandoned & abused dogs, rabbits, birds, wildlife, horses etc). 1 cat and 1 colony at a time. This means not only do we provide SPAY and NEUTER to each cat / kitten or animal in our care, we also provide Food, Shelter and Any Medical Care Needed to better the lives of the cats (animals) we find.

Did you know cats as young as 4 months old can have litters of 8 or more kittens every 60 days for its lifetime? An over abundance of homeless stray cats endure enormous suffering and abuse and typically don’t live more than 4 years. Many die as kittens from disease, abuse, neglect, murder and sadly even some are used as bait for criminals in dog fights. A cared for cat / kitten who belongs to a responsible loving person / family can live 20 + years.

Our goal is to help these beautiful, forgotten, abandoned cats receive that chance to be a part of a forever loving home and family. The cats (animals) in our care with chronic health issues or disabilities and the cats / kittens (animals) who are not adoptable remain at OLESEN SAFE HAVEN for the entirety of their lives, cared for with pure LOVE and COMPASSION. We also have a simple NO QUESTIONS ASKED RETURN POLICY for the life of the adopted cat / kitten (animal) if at any point you feel you can no longer care for them or an emergency arises where you can no longer keep them.

A Life of Compassion and Love for each and every Rescue Cat (animal) is our philosophy. Animals are the purest creatures on Gods Earth and Deserve to be Cherished❤️
